Downjackets and padded products are still very present in outerwear yet they are worked considerably refined, for ultra-compactable not bulky garments, and sometimes thin enough for mid layers and pants. Pre-quilted fabrics with woven or welded channels provide even more lightness, flexibility and downproofness. Partitioning is anyway less dense.
Fillings perform from the inside in all invisibility, more and more technical for an ever thinner and more efficient insulation, more and more eco-friendly with recycled synthetic fibers. Feather and down are offered by the meter in incredible zero weight sensation (Thindown). Wool fillings, nonwoven recycled cashmere (Imbotex) step in. Fibers and heating technologies are improving (Novaheat technology for Helly Hansen).
