ISPO - Industry 4.0

A theme put forward in collaboration with Adidas in the new "Digitize" space which gathers information, demonstrations and conferences.
Beyond the issues of supply and demand, industrialization - this unglamorous subject, focuses the eyes and questions tomorrow. We are at the dawn of an upheaval that is out of all proportion to the ups and downs of recent history. The model is being reinvented. Completely. The beginning and the end of the supply chain are inexorably shortening, skipping industrial stages that will be replaced by data collection and robotization.
Knitted products best prefigure this new world. In a few seasons, base layers and mid layers have gone from a basic status to futuristic and experimental pieces. Semi finished flatbed pieces, seamless and wholegarment technologies create a pre-designed garment, alternating reinforcement and ventilation thanks to stitches effects and integrating the functionality from the yarn. Creation is boosted by special collaborations such as that of the architecture studio Zaha Hadid with Odlo.
The re-thinking of manufacturing issues nestles in the smallest detail. Raglan sleeves instead of straight constructions and woven tubular fabric are found in a Peak Performance downjacket in order to reduce the number of seams and optimize the process.
